Eight Years
David Filipov looks for a picture of his father, Al Filipov, at the Tribute WTC Visitor Center in New York City. The center is run by the September 11th Families Association as a museum and memorial to the victims and history of the World Trade Center and the 9/11/2001 attacks. Filipov's father was on American Airlines Flight 11, the first plane flown into the towers. (Scott Lewis)

I have struggled to find words to write here today. So, I have decided to let one of my favorite photo sites, The Big Picture, do the talking for me.

It's a bit overwhelming to see all those photos! Unfortunately, we will never be able to forget that day.
overwhelmed and speechless...my heart breaks.
One of the blogs I follow is "King of New York Hacks". He's a taxi driver in New York City. He's had a whole week of posts regarding 9/11. He'd appreciate your post today, to be sure. Well done.
That was an incident that shook the whole world. For the first time we realised how precarious all our situations are!
A striking and moving picture. Don't know how you got it - is there a story in it? - but thanks for posting it.
its so sad that so many lifes were sacrificed to greed
i lived in ny for 5 yrs. and could never get myself to go to the place that they set up.... because i feel like all they have done is lied to all of the families, i figured i would just get angry... its still overwhelming.
