Well, I will start my blog with what I hope is good news...I say this as Lilly is sitting beside me, sniffing me and hissing --quite fiercely.
Meet the new addition to our brood-- Baxter. He is a baaaaby-about 10 weeks, and stole my heart, I won't go into the whole story. But, he is in my bathroom now, snuggled into a bed that Lilly and Lucy have rejected for some reason, and is the cutest, sweetest little bear.
I am cautiously hoping Lilly and Lucy will adjust. Lucy actually sniffed outside the door and seemed OK, but Lilly, of course, was having none of this. She gets what I now call "Satan Face" and hisses like something out of a Stephen King novel. I keep trying to tell myself that she does this whenever there is a change she wasn't consulted about-- like our past (many) moves, or long drives, or vet visits, or even initially when I brought her and Lucy home--and Lucy was from the same litter! ...sigh
We will see. I hope this works out, because besides being incredibly cute--my pictures tonight don't really do him justice--Baxter has THE BEST temperament, so sweet and laid back---adorable. I added the picture of him from the adoption site where I found him--it really is a good one.
Just about the time we get through this...I'll be moving again- which right now is scheduled for end of July. Woo hoo! Lilly is having a tough month!
